Abiotic Factor server settings explained
All 54 settings an Abiotic Factor server has on ToastHosting, as its Settings page shows them: what each one does, its default, and the values it takes. Where a setting has a name in the game's own configuration file, that name is shown next to it.
Server
Server name
The name players see in the server list.
Join password
Players type it to join. Leave empty for no password.
How many players
The developers recommend 6 at most; above that, players get a warning.
Admin password
Players who type it in the game become admins. Leave empty for no admin password.
World name
A new world starts when there is no world with this name yet.
Advanced
Extra launch options
Extra options added to the game's start command, for people who know the game's own launch flags. Leave it empty otherwise.
World
Difficulty GameDifficulty
How many enemies there are and how hard they fight. Above Normal, the game stops adjusting to the number of players.
Hardcore (one life) HardcoreMode
Each character has one life and the difficulty is Apocalyptic. The dead can watch or leave; admins can revive them.
Resources respawn LootRespawnEnabled
Resources come back around the Facility over time (furniture doesn't). Makes gathering much easier.
Power off at night PowerSocketsOffAtNight
The Facility's power, sockets included, goes off at night. Off makes the game much easier: no batteries needed.
Day and night DayNightCycleState

Weather events WeatherFrequency
How often weather events happen, once players have got far enough in the game to see them.

Bridge supports needed BridgeSupports
How much support a bridge needs besides the spot where it starts.
Home Worlds HomeWorlds
Players can use Home World portals, the free ones and DLC ones like Torii.

Water from sinks and similar sources is tainted instead of clean. Harder.
Radiation hurts RadiationDealsDamage
Radiation takes health away. Much harder.
