Unturned server settings explained
All 13 settings an Unturned server has on ToastHosting, as its Settings page shows them: what each one does, its default, and the values it takes. Where a setting has a name in the game's own configuration file, that name is shown next to it.
Server
Server name
The name players see in the server list, up to 50 characters.
Join password
What players type to join; empty means anyone with the address can join.
How many players
The most players on the server at once.
Welcome message
A chat message every player sees when they join.
Owner's Steam ID
Your SteamID64 (17 digits, from your Steam profile's address or steamid.io): the owner is an admin in the game.
Steam login token (GSLT)
Lets players join by address, lists the server in Unturned's public server list and keeps its Server Code the same across restarts. Make one for free at steamcommunity.com/dev/managegameservers with app id 304930. Without it friends can only join with the Server Code, which changes at every start.
World
Map
The world to play on. A Workshop map works too: add it in Mods, then type its name here. Each map keeps its own save.
Difficulty
How tough zombies are and how scarce items get.
Camera
Which views players may use.
No player fights (PvE)
Players can't hurt each other; zombies and animals still can.
Cheats
Admins can use cheat commands such as give and teleport.
Mods
Workshop items
Set in Mods.
Advanced
Extra launch options
Extra options added to the game's start command, for people who know the game's own launch flags. Leave it empty otherwise.
The ports a Unturned server uses
- 27015/UDP Game (players connect here)
- 27016/UDP Game traffic
These are Unturned's standard ports. On ToastHosting each server gets ports of its own; the server page shows the address and port to join with, so there is nothing to forward.
